Meet Dominik Bronakowski

Hello! My name is Dominik Bronakowski, and I’m thrilled to announce that I’m running for Des Plaines City Clerk in the upcoming April 1, 2025 election.

Des Plaines is a city I’ve been proud to call home my entire life. I was born and raised here, attending local schools like Terrace Elementary, Chippewa Middle School, Maine West High School, and Oakton Community College before transferring to Illinois State University. Through a combination of hard work—saving money from odd jobs—and earning academic and athletic scholarships, I graduated debt-free from Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science degree.

Currently, I work full-time as an Outreach Director in the Illinois House of Representatives, where I specialize in helping residents navigate the complexities of local and state government. From strategic communications and media relations to resolving constituent casework and engaging in community outreach, I’ve built a career on getting things done for people and easing the burden of navigating bureaucratic government. I also serve on the Des Plaines Planning and Zoning Board, where I’m proud to be an independent voice, challenging the status quo and advocating for thoughtful, forward-thinking growth in our community.

The Clerk’s office plays a vital role in maintaining accurate municipal records and supporting local elections. If elected, I’ll focus on cutting red tape, improving transparency, and modernizing record-keeping to make city government more efficient and accessible for everyone.

Our community deserves a candidate committed to progress and focused on the future. I love this city and am excited to share my vision for how we can work together to make Des Plaines better for everyone.
